Lady Gaga Tattoos Only On Left Side of Her Body

Lady Gaga has several tattoos, but they all share the same hemisphere. "My father asked that I remain on one side slightly normal," she once said during an interview at Google headquarters. "So I only have my tattoos on my left side." The tattoo pictured above is a German quote from poet Rainer Maria Rilke, which translates to: "In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?"

Lady Gaga has shared a picture of her latest tattoo, an anchor on the left side of her ribcage.

Gaga only tattoos the left side of her body as a request of her fathers.

She has 10 other tattoos, including a unicorn on her left thigh and a peace sign on the inside of her left wrist.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga has eleven tattoos including flowers on her hip, a German quote on her arm, and a unicorn on her thigh.

All of her tattoos are on one side of her body body out of respect for her father. Gaga says: “He asked that I remain, on one side, slightly normal. So I only have my tattoos on my left side. I think he sees [my right] as my Marilyn Monroe side, and he sees [my left] as my Iggy Pop side.”

Lady Gaga has a large tattoo of roses that sprawls from her lower back to the left side of her waist. This tattoo was done by famous tattoo artist Kat Von D back in 2008 and it was filmed for the show LA Ink. Lady Gaga had some regrets about her treble clef tattoo and its’ “tramp stamp” location, so she worked it into her side piece. “Literally this entire side piece I have is a compensation for that one tattoo,” she says.

Gaga is drawn to the feminine feeling of Kat Von D’s designs. She told Kat: “You do beautiful work. It’s really elegant and the lines are perfect.”
